The information below describes and shows the process of repairing a gun stock with missing wood. The gun used for this demonstration is a Church Bell Brass Zulu Shotgun made in the 1870's. This gun is from Zane Wilson's Collection.

This gun makes an excellent demonstration example because there are two sections of wood missing from the stock
